If you had a fascination for thriller stories and didn't know where to go, look no further. Our Indian politics will give you enough fodder to quench all your thirst for thrillers.
A hung assembly, an incumbent Chief Minister who is entangled in all the scams possible, a wife desperate to hang on to power to save her husband's skin from the law, all the right ingredients for a spine chilling thriller.
All eyes were on the Governor and our friend from Jharkand did a villian act to invite a person with questionable standing in the Assembly in terms of numbers to for a government. There cannot be a shade of doubt that the entire thing was done at behest of the Congress Government at the center. As L.K.Advani rightly said, the Governor is acting like a hired hitman of the UPA goverment. Moreover, what makes the episode more ugly is that the man on the hot seat is Shibhu Soren, a man tainted with scams.
No doubt, the incident has shown the UPA government in totally bad light in front of the national media and Sonia and Co. are definitely in a spot of bother. In the coming days, they'll be putting their steps with a lot of caution just to prevent another embarassement in Bihar. They are definitely not helping themselves by publicly announcing that they'll be supporting Lalu under the pretext of keeping "communal" forces at bay.
Well, let's see what events unfold in the coming days. But one thing is for sure, every time I open Times of India, it's absolute paisa vasool, in terms of thriller value.
